HOW ARE YOU DOING THESE DAYS? WE ARE HAVING A BLAST WITH THE WILLYS. LAST YEAR WAS A SORTING OUT PERIOD. THE MAIN PROBLEM WAS DIALING IN THE MOTOR. THE CAR IS RUNNING HIGH NINES/LOW TENS AT 130 MPH. IT HANDLES PERFECTLY AND HOOKS VERY HARD. WE ARE RUNNING 12 WIDE SLICKS. BEST 60FT. 1.39 WITH A TIGHT CONVERTER. THE ATTENTION THIS CAR GETS IS UNREAL. I HAVE TO WALK AWAY FROM IT AT THE TRACK. PEOPLE NEVER STOP ASKING QUESTIONS.
I'M IN FLORDIA FOR THE WINTER. ON THE WAY DOWN IN OCT. WE STOPPED AT THE SOUTH GEORGIA MOTORSPORTS PARK FOR THE SOUTHERN NOSTLGIA SHOOTOUT. WE WON THE GASSER CLASS AND THE AWARD FOR BEST PAINT. OUR NEXT RACE IS SUPER CHEVY SUNDAY AT BRADENTON, FL NEXT MONTH. WE PLAN A FULL SEASON OF RACING THIS YEAR. THE BIG ONES WILL BE NHRA HOTROD REUNION, WILLYS HOME RUN AND THOMPSON.

Hi Chris.
The car has been an absolute success. Everyone just drools over it. Finally got the lettering on it last week and got it out to the Goodguys deal. Gold leaf with an orange border. Missed the judging portion but I really don't care about that crap. The Goodguys photographer that walks around said it should be in one of the upcoming magazines they put out monthly. Also got a huge picture of it while we were there. Trying to get ahold of the outfit and have them send you an 8 1/2 by 11. You'll love it.
I am just totally blown away at how popular this car is no matter where we take it. Never expected this. It is unbelieveable.
Don't know if you will be able to tell it in the photos but it has your "Willy's Hot Rod by............" about 14 inches long right behind the door handle in white letters. Everyone has asked me who built the car. Hope some way this can get you some more business. Need to get back that direction so it will do you more good though. We will be back there for the Thompson deal and Louisville next year.Motor is broke in and man does this baby get it! It is like driving a 410 sprint car on the street. Unbelieveable!
You did an excellent job and all the builders back here that have seen it have made just that comment. Be proud! These guys back here are picky!
First real car show we took it too it was in the top 25. Same day we went to the Biggest cruise night in KC and got the top honor that night. The car was still just black then. Surprised the hell out of me. Just awesome! At the Goodguys deal, there was not a moment a BUNCH of people were not around it looking it all over. Every time we would cruise the spectators walking around wanted us to stop so they could take a picture of it!!!!
The car is just great and you did a marvelous job. Thank you. I will keep you updated and get you that picture.
